Bag clogging solution: Bag clogging happens during the use of bag dust collector. It is one of the reasons why bag dust collector lose their effects. Blow are the core solutions that adopted by BRIT to avoid bag clogging:

1. Strictly control operating temperature can prevent dew from formation. To prevent filter bags from clogging, temperature of flue gas must be maintained 25°C to 35°C above its dew point.

2. Proper sealing of bag dust collector can protect the filter bag from clogging. Thus bag dust collector must be strictly sealed with air leakage rate less than 3% to ensure the equipment operating stably at low resistance.

Installed Bag Dust Collector

3. Prevent ammonia from escaping by optimizing the catalyst and ammonia injection system. Ammonia escaping shall not only cause secondary pollution, but also react with sulfur trioxide in flue gas to produce ammonium sulfate and ammonium bisulfate (a viscous substance), which easily adhere to bag filters and adsorb dusts, causing clogging and blockage of filter bags.

4. Bag filters should not be installed during baking and trial boiling. They can only be installed until normal operation to avoid the bags from getting clogging.

5. During startup and shutdown (especially long-term shutdown), strictly follow startup and shutdown guidelines for procedural operation. Before stopping ash collecting system, the humid gas in dust collector must be completely discharged and replaced with dry air to prevent dew formation. That is, after boiler equipment stops running, the dust removal fan should continue working for a while before being shut down.

BRIT adopts advanced 4 passes flue gas technology on its biomass fired steam boilers. Such innovation reduces the initial emissions of NOx, CO and soot significantly. It can also prevent ash deposition and lower the risk of boiler agglomerating. Here are the structural analysis below.

Furnace: Through unique coordination technique between boiler arch & fuel wind, our novel combustion technology combining layer combustion with chamber combustion can make boiler’s initial NOx emission less than 150mg/m³, initial CO emission less than 100mg/m³ with no black smoke eliminating.

2nd Pass: Unique empty load design; Complete fuel combustion reduces fly ash carbon content; Settling effect reduces initial smoke & dust content (<600mg/m³).

3rd Pass: The equal flue gas velocity design at dense heating surface reduces local resistance, prevents ash deposition due to low flue gas velocity at the end.

4th Pass: Soot blowers are installed in different areas of heat recovery surface to prevent ash deposition effectively.

Brit’s four passes flue gas technology can also prevent ash deposition and lower the risk of boiler agglomerating. We shall expand in details in another article.
